1: PYC and Early Childhood
|
Program for Young Children
Who knows summer fun better than
the students of the Program for Young Children?
The PYC are an example to the rest of the program
with their eagerness to learn and huge capacity
for fun. Some favorite PYC activities are story
time, water play, arts and crafts, and nature
study.
Read more about the PYC's exciting
summer in The Sundial
Newsletter. |

A PYC tradition, the Fourth
of July PYC Parade is always a much-anticipated
event.
|
The
PYC is organized into two programs based on the
developmental needs of their ages. The 3-year-old
program, dubbed "Movin' Right Along,"
fosters both personal and social growth as the
students learn how to interact in a school-like
setting. The 4- and 5-year old program, "Straight
Ahead," begins to prepare students for the
adventures of kindergarten and first grade. This
group looks forward to such daily activities as
swim lessons, creative dramatics, and easel painting.

Early
Childhood

The Early Childhood morning program
for 1st through 3rd graders is an integrated morning
curriculum designed to enrich creative minds. |
The program's daily structure
differs between age groups based on their individual
capabilities, yet each group engages in the
essential summer activities of swimming, art,
and classroom time. Foe example, this year's
third graders learned all about the history
of Ohio, and will never forget the significance
of the year 1803. Encouraging curiosity and
peaking interest in academics, physical health,
and creative spirit is what the Early Childhood
morning program is all about.

2: Morning Enrichment

Walk the halls of CSG Summer
Programs in the morning and talk to one of our
Monring Enrichment students, and you may be surprized
to discover that you are conversing with a Young
Einstein, an Improv Artist, and a Digital Photographer...all
in one student!
CSG Morning Enrichment is the
part of the Summer Programs that allows students
to specialize in exactly what interests them,
|
whether it be speaking a foreign language
or rolling the film for an original motion picture.
The course listings for Morning
Enrichment are available through the Program
Descriptions link.
|
Morning Enrichment
is categorized into three subjects: "The
Explorers," which is math, science, and language;
"The Creators," which is fine arts and
theater arts; and "Healthy Mind, Healthy
Body," which is physical fitness classes,
such as swimming and tae kwon do.
For a well-rounded yet specialized

Beware! Your child may take
home a monstrous stack of his/her own photography
and cover the refridgerator three times over,
or seek to commercially market his/her puppetry
creations. You soon realize that there are no
limits when it comes to art at CSG Summer Programs.
